Shirley Temple and I go way back. All the way back to the good ship lollipop ….
She was my all time favorite. I just loved watching her old movies on a Saturday morning with my dad (he, too, was a sucker for old movies).
When we went out to an actual restaurant for a family dinner – not often back in those days, but from time to time – my out-to-an-actual-restaurant-for-a-family-dinner drink of choice was always a Shirley Temple. It made me feel all grown up!
And now I wish I could find that picture of five-year-old me as a flower girl at my cousins wedding with my poor-girl’s Shirley Temple wannbe hairdo!!!
Guess you’ll just have to settle for a recipe for a Shirley Temple drink. I found a fabulous one at This Lil Piglet. Just click here …

Yummmm, every drink you show us is so yummmy and refreshing looking. I shouldn’t drink any alcohol due to meds I take but once in while a margarita or beer is good so drinks like these are perfect to serve anybody including myself.
Great post, thanks for sharing all these wonderful recipes for tasty drinks. Happy summer days
