These paint drip mason jars are so easy to make. In fact, they’re so easy to make that they’re a perfect craft to do with your kids.
I first made a set with my daughter a few years ago. Inspired by a display at our local Anthropologie store.
How To Make Paint Drip Mason Jars
I started by adding a few drops of water to acrylic craft paint. This helps it pour easier.
Pour color into the bottom of each jar.
Then pour out …
Turn the jar. And pour out again. And again …
Layer additional colors by pouring in along the top rim.
Repeat with different colors until you’re happy with how they look.
Then pour out the extra paint.
And you’re done.
Easy, right? Child’s play, I say …
My jars took about two days for the paint inside to completely dry.
You can’t fill the jars with water because the paint is water soluble. However, I think they look cute holding colored pencils …

P.S. If you want to use as a vase, you might try putting a cup inside the jar to hold the water.
