Technically, this black and white striped mason jar isn’t a Halloween craft …
but I can’t help to look at it and think Halloween.
Perhaps because my son chose a prisoner Halloween costume one year. Complete with the stereotypical black and white stripes. And that little prisoner cap …
and I have no idea what the purpose of the cap served?
Oh, and that black and white striped prisoner costume came with a plastic ball and chain.
Ha!
That makes me laugh.
Mostly because how could he possibly and realistically — and safely — trick-or-treat with a plastic ball and chain tethered to his ankle …
an accident waiting to happen.
On the plus side, he did look super cute in that costume!
Equally as cute as Rebecca’s black and white striped mason jar. You can find out how she made them at her blog, Crafted Sparrow. Just click here …

I love the Crafted Sparrow’s take on the painted mason jar! The stripes look amazing and a bit Pugsly/Emily Strange and Beetle Juice and isn’t that a perfect combination for the Halloween Holiday! hugs!
