Do you know what my favorite part about these mini mason jar chicken pot pies?

No, it’s not how super cute they look. Which, by the way, they really do look super cute.

No, it’s not how delicious they look.  Which, by the way, they really do look delicious.

No, it’s not how they are perfectly individually portioned. Which, by the way, they really are perfectly individually portioned.

My favorite part is they’re healthy.

You read that right.

Healthy!

Which is perfect for me. Because I hate the idea of going on a diet. I much prefer lifestyle changes and portion control. And these mini mason jar chicken pot pies are all about portion control!

How do you put the ingredients with the crust in the jar and cool it in the jar

It would probably be best to follow the link in the blog post to the original creator of these. However, when I have cooked using the glass jars the recommendation has been to put jars in the oven before pre-heating and then turning off the oven when done and letting them cool completely in the oven before taking them out. This puts less stress on the glass so it won’t break. It means you’ll need to adjust the cook time a bit and keep a close eye on them so they don’t get too browned. Hope that helps! 🙂
