It was just about this time last year that I painted my first mason jar. Well, not just one. My painted mason jars featured a set in fun, Spring-y colors …
I had originally posted the jars on my other blog, It All Started With Paint. At the time, I was questioning if I should sell them at my Etsy shop.
I wasn’t sure if anyone would pay me to paint and distress mason jars …
I mean, it seemed like something someone could do themselves. I’ve even shared detailed instructions on how I make my jars here.
Turns out, people will pay for these jars. I’ve painted and distressed and shipped out hundreds upon hundreds of jars …
…in fact, it may even number in the thousands. And I’ve painted and distressed mason jars in lots of different shapes and colors and configurations …
You can find the listing for these Spring inspired jars here …

I tried your tips on spray painting mason jars this week. They looked great! But when I sprayed a matte top coat on them the paint bubbled off as if I used stripper. Any advice?
