Claire at Pillar Box Blue has created the cutest decoupage map mason jar bank. Well technically she created banks, plural.

Both with maps. And both are equally adorable.

And now I can’t stop thinking about what a genius idea it is to create a bank out of a mason jar.

It makes perfect sense. The biggest complaint I have about a traditional piggy bank is how impossible it is to get the money out. Struggling with that little rubber plug and then trying to reach a finger or two into that too small opening to pull out the paper bills.

But with a mason jar you can just screw off the top and easily access every last little nickle and dime …

and penny!
