I’m not gonna lie …
this Epsom salt holiday mason jar project is messy.
Every. Step. Of. The. Way. Messy.
And right on through to the finished product messy.
Oh the sacrifices we make in the name of holiday decor!
And aside from the mess … they’re pretty. And they offer a really great glow when you add a candle at night. So my advice? Put down lots of newspaper as you create for easy clean up. And just don’t move them around a lot. Otherwise they’ll shed!
How To Make Epsom Holiday Mason Jars
Materials*
Regular Mouth Quart Mason Jars
Foam Brush
Jingle Bells & Baker’s Twine (Optional)

Messy step #1: Add a generous layer of Mod Podge (or glue) to the mason jar.
Messy Step #2: Give a generous coating of Epsom salt.
Messy Step #3: Let dry overnight. Once dry, give a little shake to remove excess Epsom.
Then just add some jingle bells and a candle and you’ve created one messy-but-beautiful Epsom salt holiday mason jar.
