Each month, I sit down and think … hmmm … what should this month’s free calendar page printable look like? What theme (okay, the main theme is mason jars, of course) but what should that mason jar be doing? How should it be decorated?
A few years ago, I downloaded mason jar clip art from this Etsy shop. I didn’t know what to do with all those mason jar PNG image files at the time. Heck, I didn’t even know what a PNG image file was …
You could say it was an impulse buy. 😉
But I’m so glad I did. Because I’ve been having great fun making these monthly calendar page printables. In fact, I’m already thinking about design ideas for 2017. 🙂
But back to my mason-jar-calendar-page-making process. It typically involves an Etsy search for affordable clip art I can easily buy & download. Tied to the month’s theme …
Like this month. Halloween was a head-clunking given. But I didn’t want it to just be Halloween. I wanted a feel of Halloween. A little darkness. A little spook. And a couple of bats.
And each month (typically) when I’m done making the calendar page, I think: This one is my favorite one of all.
And I truly do think that about this month’s design. Though, in all honesty, the April calendar page still ranks pretty much my gold standard. 🙂
