This is the project that really set everything into motion at it all started with paint. Well, set in motion the whole mason jar movement. A movement that now includes stocking a shop with various painted and distressed mason jars for sale. And people are actually buying them! Orders continue to come in, even though you can find out how to make them for yourself by visiting it all started with paint. It’s surprisingly easy!
But if you’re not the crafty type (and there is no fault in that!) you can always buy some for yourself. And, yes, that is a shameless plug to visit the shop!
I am painting some jars to use for my 50th Wedding party following the instructions you posted. When I started putting on a second coat of paint some of the first coat pealed off. I wiped the jars down with Alcohol as you said to do and washed them in hot soapy water. What did I do wrong?
