Vintage Wagon Mason Jar Snow Globe – Car In Jar Snow Globe.
I hear you.
I hear your collective moans. I hear you yelling, “Noooooooooo …. it’s not even Halloween yet!”
You know why I can hear you? Because my son cried out the same thing at the television last week.
Though, in all fairness, the channel was tuned to the Hallmark Channel.
And my Hallmark Channel viewing is a topic for another day. And another cry of “Nooooooooooo …..”
😉
In my defense of sharing a Christmas craft in early October:I own an Etsy shop.
1.I own an Etsy shop.
2. At said Etsy shop I sell mason jars.
3. And also at said Etsy shop I sell seasonal mason jars. Like this vintage wagon mason jar snow globe. Along with various vintage car, truck and VW bus snow globes.
4. And if you look at the retail business, I’m actually late in getting these snow globes up at the Etsy shop!
I also wanted to give you all the time you need to search for your favorite vintage car or truck or VW bus so you could make your very own! Because, quite honestly, tracking down the perfect vintage car is half the battle!
How To Make Vintage Wagon Mason Jar Snow Globe
Materials*
1:64 Vintage Car (I used a 1955 Chevy Two-Ten Handyman Wagon) – they are also described as 1/64 cars
20 mm (or 13/16″) Red Jingle Bells
*includes some affiliate links.
Start with all your materials: Elite mason jar, vintage car of choice, bottle brush tree, jingle bells & baker’s twine, faux snow.
Tie jingle bells around mason jar band using baker’s twine.
Cut base off bottle brush tree.
Feed baker’s twine through vintage car window (if the car doesn’t have an open window you can just wrap the twine around the entire car).
Tie bottle brush tree to top of car.
Knot twine & cut off excess.
Add a light layer of faux snow to bottom of mason jar.
Add mason jar. Screw on lid & band.
I’ve also created a vintage 1950 Chevy pick up truck mason jar snow globe …
…. and a 1958 Plymouth Fury mason jar snow globe.
