Let’s hope it’s a little bit warmer than the final two days of January …
brrrr …
seriously, though, I did not enjoy that polar vortex thing here in Chicago.
And while I (and my family) stayed locked inside, I did feel terrible for the furnace repair guy who had to come to our house and … well … repair our furnace.
Yeah, that wasn’t fun for him … or us.
But we have heat again. And the furnace has been working extra hard to try and warm up our old, drafty house.
And all I can say to that is thank the heavens for the auto payment program with People’s Gas. Because I do not want to know how much the gas bill for January will be. I’ll just bury my head in the sand. I won’t even open that e-bill email. I’ll just file it away in my “Bills Paid” email folder and let the bank take care of it! 🙂
But here we are in February ….
and as my husband likes to remind me, less than two weeks away from when pitchers and catchers report for Spring training!
Which warms his heart. And what warms my heart is the hope that our gas bill will drop in February as temperatures rise.
