Football Mason Jars DIY – Football Party Centerpiece Ideas.

Remember when I shared with you the football mason jar set I made? This one.

I also sell it at my Etsy shop. And it sells really well. All year long. With (naturally) a big surge in January timed to the “Big Game” coming up next month.

Well, when I made the football jar set and started selling it on Etsy, I noticed a number of other shops starting selling the same set too. The. Same. Exact. Set. They just copied my design …

right down to the exact “x’s” and “o’s” placement on the game plan.

Some even went so far as to cut and paste my Etsy listing description and used that as well.

Shakes my head.

I was frustrated. Annoyed. A little PO’d at first. But I had to let it go. I mean, I did give detailed instructions on how to make them after all! I just didn’t think anyone would take my design and profit off it!

Shakes my head. Again.

So when I came across this football mason jar set from Modern Sports Mom, I was pleased to see her amazing original take (not that I’m saying she even saw my original set).

But I love how she made the football field vertical.

I love how the football mason jar is wrapped in rope (genius!).

And I Iove, love, love how she came up with her very own “x’s” and “o’s” game plan jar that wraps around the entire jar.

See, this is how it’s done! (Again, I have no idea if Modern Sports Mom has ever seen my original football set).

Either way, I find her design inspiring. But I would never copy & then sell it as my own.
