Glitter Paint Mason Jar – Mason Jar Craft Ideas with Paint & Glitter.
I’ve been struggling with making Glitter Mason Jars. It seems simple enough, right? Some paint. Some glue. Some glitter. But …
how do you keep the glitter on the jars … and off everything else?
Because my attempts end up with me wearing glitter. And my kids wearing glitter. And my dog wearing glitter. And finding pieces of the sparkly stuff everywhere in the house.
But Kelly at KA Styles has done all the groundwork for us. She’s tried out different methods using different mediums – glitter paint, Mod Podge, glue — and has come up with an excellent tutorial on how best to glitter those jars. And how best to keep that glitter on the jars …
and off your face. 😉
These glitter paint mason jars are a great gift idea for a teen girl … or a young woman who still loves all things glitter and glam. You can also use them to store your makeup brushes on a vanity or in the bathroom — or why not put them in your office to add a bit of sparkle to your pencils and pens!

Hope you have a mason jar craft filled day! 🙂
I’m not sure if I tell you, but I guess my hobby is looking at fun ways to paint mason jars…or use them for snow globes…or last year it was vintage truck +dump part in a larger jar with the snap and hauling trees. I did make glitter jars for my niece and their foreign exchange student to put their flowers in after graduation during the big party serving over 300 for BBQ and all sorts of foods out at their farm. The girls loved them. My friend came over last summer and did four ombré pink jars and a red jar for her school desk. I put faux succulents in their tiny white plastic cups in my array of colorful ones at my front entry in a galvanized narrow long box. I am even known to change a jar by painting over it!! Experimenting!!! I must do a minion jar for my neighbor to hold pens and pencils!!!! I always open your posts. You round up the best ideas. Thank you again so much!!!!
It sounds like you should start your very own mason jar crafting blog!!! Thanks so much for always stopping by and for leaving such a lovely comment!!! 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing my glitter jars! 🙂 Ive certainly tried some variations of glitter. I do love the glitter jars, while ‘messy’ love them. Glitter explosion..
My dogs have tracked and eaten it too! haha
Can I use the glitter over chalk paint?
I’ve never tried but I think so? Sorry, but not sure how it would turn out! 🙂
