Hello November!

Can I be honest with you?

If it wasn’t for that whole feasting on turkey and mashed potatoes and stuffing and cranberry sauce thing …

I wouldn’t be all that thrilled to see you.

Nothing personal.

Okay, maybe a tad bit personal.

There’s also that thing where my sister was born in your month to be thankful for in November.

So thank you November!

And this year November is especially welcome in this household. You see, my daughter comes home for a Thanksgiving visit from her first year in college.

So for that, I give you (November) many, many thanks for your arrival in 2019!

But can I ask a few favors of you, November?

Can you keep the blustery cold days to a minimum? I mean, that’s what January and February are for. And the rain? And the dark, gray days.

Oh, and the snow. Can you check in with Mother Nature and hold off until Christmas?

That would be great!

You may not be my favorite month. But you are hands down the one month when I’m most thankful! 🙂
