Painted Witch Hat Mason Jar – Halloween Craft Ideas with Mason Jars.
Yes, I’m really going there …
Halloween mason jar crafts during the first week of August!
If you think I’m nuts, you’re not alone. My son thought I might be jumping the gun on this one.
He (and you) might be right.
But in years past I always seemed to be so behind the curve, having the audacity of publishing Halloween-themed mason jar crafts in October.
But this year I’m ahead of the curve …
waaaaaay ahead …
with my painted witch hat mason jar craft!
So if you, too, are feeling a little Halloweeny, I’ve put together a tutorial for you (oh, and the video tutorial includes a little Halloweeny music to get you in the mood!) …

Start with two coats white paint. I used chalked paint. Acrylic paint works well too.
Distress with 80 grit sandpaper.
Add a dot of black acrylic paint.
Use toothpick to pull paint and create brim of hat.

Add ribbon to hat using orange, purple and green acrylic paint.
Using a toothpick and gold metallic paint to create a buckle on the hat.
Felt witch hat on top is optional.
As is the black ribbon! 🙂
