If you told me I could only pick one vacation destination that I could visit for the rest of my life, I would pick the beach. Hands down.
I’m a beach girl through-and-through. I grew up with sand between my toes and the smell of salt water in my hair …
and the beach is the one thing I miss the most about the east coast now that I live in Chicago.
Sure we have a lake the size of a small ocean with its own beach. And sure Chicagoans flock to the shores when the temperatures rise above 60 degrees.
But it’s just not the same.
So when the folks at Frog Tape sent me some Shape Tape it the shape of a wave, I knew exactly what I should do with it …
Create a wave, of course. On a beach-themed vacation memory jar. Here’s my FrogTape how-to …
How To Make A Vacation Memory Jar
Step 1: Start with your materials.
Jar
Frog Tape® Shape Tape Wave design
Sand
Vacation mementos (sand, shells)
Pictures
Wooden Skewers
Tape
Scissors
Blue Paint
Paint Brush
Step 2: Tape off near bottom of jar.
Seal tape by rubbing fingers along edges.
Step 3: Paint with blue paint.
I used one coat.
Step 4: Remove tape.
You can see how Frog Tape’s Paint Block® Technology gives you a nice clean edge.
This is proprietary Frog Tape technology that uses a super absorbent polymer that reacts with latex paint and instantly gels to form a protective barrier that seals the edges.
Step 5: Print vacation pictures onto photo paper.
Step 6: Cut out & attach pictures to wooden skewers.
Use tape to secure.
Step 7: Fill jar with mementos.
I really like how the wave pattern from the Frog Tape Shape Tape helps bring the sea and surf into the memory jar …
