To be honest, I’m happy to say sayonara to March …
it wasn’t my best of months.
It kicked off with me being sick. But just not any sick. Really, really sick. Worse than the flu. Which I’ve had. Worse than strep throat. Which I’ve had. Worse than bronchitis. Which I’ve had. Worse than pneumonia. Which I’ve had. Twice.
Was it the novel Coronavirus? Who knows. There was close to zero testing in the U.S. going on at the time.
The emergency room diagnosed me (yes, I was experiencing respiratory issues and had my husband take me to the emergency room) as having laryngitis.
Laryngitis?
Who knew a laryngitis diagnosis would include shortness of breath and a throat that felt like I had swallowed shards of glass.
Two-and-a-half weeks later and I finally started to feel like myself again.
And then …
College campuses began closing. So I found myself (reluctantly) on an airplane to Colorado. Followed by a 17 hour road trip home.
Honestly, the drive wasn’t that bad. Well, except for that snow storm in Iowa!
So I’m eager to usher in April. Hopeful even!

Sorry about your health problems. I’m in the hospital now. I’m on oxygen, but I was very short of breath. Never thought it was the virus. Turned out I’m extremely anaemic. They gave me four units of blood, and I can breathe much better. Now to figure out out how to treat whatever is causing this recurrent problem. March is almost over, and good riddance! Oh no! I hope they find out how to help you soon! Glad you’re breathing better and praying for a cure for you!
