Hello October!

How nice to see you (almost).

Please don’t tell the other months … but you are way up there as a favorite month.

You see, I like a good sweater. And a jean jacket. And a hoodie. And, most of all …

pockets!

So most months where I wear clothing with pockets is a win win.

Okay, except those freezing cold months where clothing with pockets also includes hats and scarves and gloves.

It all comes down to the fact that I carry the teeniest, tiniest purse possible. The smallest one that accommodates my phone and debit card and reading glasses. That’s it.

Because big purses quickly turn into the bottom of the closet. Or the junk drawer.

The main downside of carrying the teeniest, tiniest of purses: No place to store your keys when shopping!

By the by, when did my key ring turn into something the janitor carries around?

But during months when the temperature dips oh so slightly that a jacket or hoodie is a must …

I have a place to put my keys. In a pocket!

So October, for me, is the perfect key carrying month. 🙂

When I shop I like to wear jeans with pockets. I carry my cards in a cheap fold over that fits in my pocket, my keys are on a lanyard. I heard a woman say once “You can steal my purse, but I am not walking home” Good advice. The giant tote bag stays in the car in case I forget my coupons. Convinced it weighs ten pounds because of change.

Love it! I’ve taken to carrying my house key on a lanyard too! Especially when I take the pup out for a walk! 🙂
