Witch Hat Mason Jars – Halloween Crafts with Mason Jars.
Sometimes the best craft ideas hit you when you’re in the craft store.
There I was at Michael’s. I had a very specific list of things to buy. Things that I needed for my Etsy shop. Paint and paint brushes. But along the way to the paint aisle …
I spotted some ribbon.
And not just any old ribbon. Halloween themed ribbon.
So I stood there in front of the display picking up and putting down various spools of ribbon. I was drawn to them … but wasn’t sure what to do with them. I was indecisive (mostly because I’ve sworn off buying craft supplies without a plan in place first; I have buckets and bins and drawers filled with random craft supplies!)
And then I saw it …
the witch shoes ribbon.
The witch shoes ribbon!
Ding. Ding. Ding.
And I thought won’t they look great wrapped around a mason jar, topped with a mini felt witch hat (a random craft supply purchase I made a few years ago with zero idea of what to do with them!).

I am volunteer at a historic farmhouse and I made “pretend” grape jelly in an old Ball canning jar by melting old purple candles and topping it off with a layer of paraffin wax. It actually looked like grape jelly. I really enjoyed looking at your innovative uses for Mason jars. The jar with the witch feet ribbon on it is so Halloween. I also have a blog entitled “Farmhouse Magic Blog” but I don’t have any Mason or Ball jars on it.
