Halloween Bat Mason Jars – Painted Bats on Mason Jars.
The Halloween Bat Mason Jars brought up fond memories for me. Back to a gentler time …
Okay, maybe not exactly gentler. More like a time when Father Time was much “gentler” on me.
I was in my early 20’s. My older sister was the first to marry and start a family. A concept that felt light years away. I was all about my career.
And then …then … she went and did it. She had a baby. A boy. We were smitten. Intrigued. We hadn’t had a baby in our lives in over a decade.
Fascinated by his every move, we joined together to celebrate each new event in his life. Christening. Birthdays. And Halloweens.
When he was about three, he had very strong opinions about his Halloween costume. Batman. So my very creative and talented sister made him the cutest batman costume.
And when he was about four, he had very strong opinions about his Halloween costume. Batman. Luckily the costume still fit.
And when he was about five, he had very strong opinions about his Halloween costume. Batman.
Again. 🙂
So my sister made a few modifications to that original costume – lengthened the cape, created a new black sweatshirt top — and he was batman for the third year in a row.
So when I spotted these Halloween bat mason jars at Now At Home Mom blog, I immediately thought of my nephew. And his three-year-running Batman costume. 🙂
